[Epic] Dropping this discussion

Ok, I'm going to attempt to drop this little discussion. Here's my
closing:

1) Posting the entire rulebook for SM1 or AT or any other game is illegal.
It's also wrong - notice list members ask each other before posting another
list members' material on their website. Why is that? Are the rules
themselves less deserving of this courtesy? I don't think so, and unless GW
says it's OK, I find it just as wrong as if a list member said "don't post
this please" and someone did it anyway. Would there not be a "discussion" on
the list at that point? Think there probably would be...

2) I think that coming on the list and posting where to get it is a mistake
and should be discouraged.

3) I'm surprised at the quickness of the "flamewar" tag. About 10 messages
and a timeframe of about 24 hours with minimal name-calling is hardly
"immature" and "flaming". We've had far worse on the list quite a bit.
"Disagreement" is not synonymous with "flaming".

4) One of the things I value about this list is the ability to get our
questions popped over to JJ en masse, and to get an official answer back. If
we start sending bootleg stuff back and forth, that might go away. I
certainly am not out to be GW's friend (I've done that rant before: remember
when Epic sprues were about a dollar? Do you like it now that they're $10?)
but to me, the value of this type of thing = 0, and the value of the Q&A's
is >0, so IMO, why risk it?

5) Honestly, if someone comes on and posts their site address, and it
happens to have something illegal on it, that's really their problem. But
when you come to the list and mention it, then post it, it's hard to ignore
that anymore.

Finally, I don't have a problem with Tzeentch on anything besides this one
issue, and if it came across as a personal attack, I'm sorry - that wasn't
the intent. Most of the time, people announce the posting of original or
supplementary material to their sites, and I was surprised when I saw it was
actually the rules themselves. I'd hoped he would figure out there's a
reason why no one has done this, but if he's not gonna sweat it, I'm not
going to try and talk him into it anymore. Maybe GW will stop caring and we
can all post everything we own...certainly make things cheaper.

Anyone wants to respond, feel free. I'm not going to jump in and argue on
this one anymore. I'll also resist that "last word" temptation <promise>.
