Here's a FAQ:
When splitting fire, do you subtract the BM liability from each attack,
or from the unit's firepower in total.
ie...
A unit with FP 21 and 6 BMs on it fires at 2 detachments, in the ratio
of 2:1.
Does this mean: 14-6 = 8 at one detachment, 7-6 = 1 on another, or
14-4 = 10 on one detachment, 7-2 = 5 on another?
SUGGESTION: That the BM penalty be applied AFTER FP allocation rather
than before. This way, a unit with a mix of weapons of different ranges
won't have it's firepower at long range effectively increased because
there's an enemy close-up. It also means that the "soaking off" of BMs
with short-range weapons will only be effective when they're firing at
the same target.
