I realized after posting my last message that it might cause some
confusion about how orders are handles in E40k.
The orders dice have four icons for orders that you assign and two icons
for special occourences that are not assigned.
Assigned orders are:
---------------------
Assault: Move into close range for Assault (CC) or a Firefight
March: Move at a rapid speed but sacrifice shooting and cover.
Overwatch: Sacrifice movement for increased firepower
Special: Used to put Flak units on Alert and Artillery on Prep.
Bombardment. The rest of the detachment goes on
Overwatch.
The other occourances are:
--------------------------
Broken: Only movement is a retreat until passing a Ld test.
A detachemnt is automatically Broken if it loses an
Assault or Firefight.
Immobilised: War Engines (titan and SHV) can take damage to the reactor
and/or motive systems thus immobilising them. An
immobilised War Engine is _very_ easy to hit. Hit dice =
FP.
Leadership (Ld) tests are made against the amount of Blast (supression) a
deatchment has taken. You must roll greater than the Blast on a d6 to
pass. Stubborn units can roll twice and Tyranids connected to the Hive
Mind automatically pass.
Leadership tests are required whenever a detachemnt wants to go on
Overwatch or Special, when they want to move, when they want to
Assault, and to remove the Broken condition.
