Well, why not?
Imagine the world of Xantus Primus, this was an imperial colony defended
by the 2nd Belfalas regiment of the Imperial Guard.
Two years ago, the contact was lost with Xantus, a hive fleet had
invaded it. The Imperial Guards were destroyed but not without
fighting until the last man : their resistance was so strong and they
had inflicted so damage to the Tyranids that their leaders
(dominatrixes and other big bugs) lost the contact with the Hive
Mind...
Nowadays...
A second hive fleet arrived to Xantus Secundus, the Hive Mind
discovers that the planet has been infested by some uncontroled
Tyranids, it decides to purge the world.
On the planet, the uncontroled Dominatrixes (which have decided to
become Hive Mind in place of THE Hive Mind) prepare their defense
against the invaders...
OK this is a little unrealistic but not too much... What do you think
about this?
