[Epic] 40K/IG infantry Detachments

Anybody else think that the IG infantry Detachments are overpriced? You
can usually get space Marines for about the same cost. Examples:

IG Heavy Co. SM Devastator Co.
3 X Command squads 96 points 5 Devastator Squads 200 points
9 X Heavy squads 126 points Make one an HQ 25 points
total points 222 total points 225
FP at range 45: 18 FP at range 45: 20
FP at range 30: 21

The SMs also have twice as good armor 5+ vs. a 3+ means they will get hit
1/2 as often. The SMs also have stubbron, and as a perk a 1 higher assault
value. For a meager 3 points you get a far superior unit. The Assault
Detachments are worse.

IG Rough Rider Co. SM Assault Co.
3 X RR command units 108 points 1 captain 50 points
9 X RR units 90 points 4 X Assault Squads 136 points
 Total points 198 Total points 186
Total Assault value 24 Total Assault Value 38

The SMs also have a 1 better armor, Stubbron, Rapid fire as a bonus. The
IG does have a 3 better FP at range 15 (Yippy). The SMs are much more
mobile as they ignore terrain and can go places that The RRs can't. You
pay 12 less points for a better Assault unit.

What all do you think?
